Boyfriend is a piece created by Valeria Alonso that combines theatre with dance and video. Five women move around in a typical Reality Show atmosphere, with the aim and hope to win the one and only Boyfriend. The piece humorously questions the relationships between men and women, their seduction habits and skills, the ways in which they communicate with each other, and the general present day established images related to love.

OSARIO

Winner of the first prize of Madrid’s Choreography Contest in 2006. (Certamen coreográfico de Madrid).
Osario (“Ossuary” in English) is a dance duo created by Valeria Alonso, inspired by sensations and texts from Clarissa Pinkola Estés’s book Women Who Run With the Wolves. Two women enter their own ossuary, the area of their inner world where the bones of their intuition lay and where their instinct comes alive. The choreography establises a dialog between the instinctive nature of women and aspects of their contemporary life.

Lugo and Orense 2006 – 2007: Auditorio Gustavo Freire, Teatro Principal.
Simona collaborated in Osario as a dance performer.

SOLO PARA NOEL
Directed by: Valeria Alonso
Solo para Noel is a play created by Valeria Alonso, which combines theatre with dance and video. It tells the story of a rather strange family who happens to be spending Christmas Eve in a five-star hotel room: the Father – a megalomaniac president, the Mother – a dramatic movie star, and the Daughter, “Kimberly” – who is witness as well as accomplice to her parents’ extravagances and madness. The piece questions lies and the consequences those have on our identity.
